ABOUT US

About us

Millmoor Juniors was formed in 2001 with just one team at the U13 age group in the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League.

During 2002 the Club secured a long-term lease on the ground at Grange Park and also in order to provide legal protection, became a limited company. Furthermore, again in 2002 the Club was awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard and later in December, the FA Charter Community Club Award. This status has continued for many years and is something the Club are still proud of. Now holding the FA Charter Standard Youth Club title. Eighteen years later we now have a fully functional clubhouse, including changing rooms with showers, referee changing room, office, public toilets, kitchen and a cafe which serves hot and cold products on matchdays.

In 2003 the Club formed three new girls teams at the age of U10s and U11s to increase girls participation in football. This is an area that the Club has continued to grow and has developed into one of the most successful and celebrated football clubs in the area for enhancing and nurturing girls football. As of 2020 the Club proudly boasts 7 girls junior football teams from the ages U9s, U10s, U11s, U12s, U15. The Club also has an established ladies senior team. We provide a clear pathway for female football in the local area.

In 2010 the Grange Park Club House was updated and extended to provide more room. As the Club continued to grow, in 2018, this area was again updated with many kitchen improvements. Many more improvements have been made to the facilities at Grange Park which included new home and away team dugouts on all pitches, an increased concourse around the ground and new handrails and gates have been added to all pitches. Millmoor Juniors are extremely proud of their outstanding facilities, which are the envy of most grassroot clubs.

On the pitch, the Club has recently re-branded and re-invigorated the Nursery Team and created Millmoor Mini-uns which provides football fun in a safe environment for U4s to U6s and also gives them a pathway into the U7s. As a Club we see this vital for the development for our future age groups.

At present, Millmoor Juniors has 20 junior teams consisting of 14 mixed teams ranging from U7s to U17s and 6 junior girls teams . Millmoor Juniors currently have a men’s senior team who play in the Sheffield County Senior League and a ladies team who have recently been promoted to the NERWFL Central Division, all providing a clear pathway for adult football.
